Team Member Bio: Amy, Manicurist and Department Ma

Amy is a native Pittsburgher who has improved ESSpa from the start. Amy has acquired a full cosmetology license from the state of Pennsylvania in 2002. This is what makes her stand out as a manicurist at ESSpa. Not only can she provide manicures and pedicures to guests, she has a greater view of cosmetology as a whole because she has extensive training in all aspects of health and wellness. Amy’s background and extensive training started within the corporate world and then moved to the spa industry. This is what makes her so professional. She has been interested in the spa industry ever since she was a teenager and now she has climbed her way to where she wants to be. Amy has been told she smiles.... a lot. That is probably due to her fabulous career at ESSpa. She is doing what she loves and that makes her truly happy.

Amy suggests that every guest who walks into ESSpa tries the ultimate manicure and pedicure. “I feel like the guests feel super relaxed during these treatments,” she said. When she has the time, Amy tries to get as many spa treatments as she can because she loves it all. She says that everyone at ESSpa takes pride in what they do and they genuinely care for their guests. Amy’s favorite products at ESSpa ranges from the lemon sugar exfoliator to the organic Zoya nail polish. She just can’t choose a favorite because they are both good for you. Speaking of healthy things, Amy’s favorite health food is hummus and she says she can’t get enough of it.

In Amy’s spare time, she loves to spend it outdoors. She camps, hikes, and takes her puppy for walks in the park. Hopefully, in the future, Amy would love to take a trip to Yellowstone or the Smoky Mountains to see how beautiful the national parks are. She loves her family and friends and spends time with them often when she is not at the spa.
Amy believes that ESSpa stands out among the rest because ESSpa has been voted best spa since this new location opened. There are a lot of reasons for being the best. However, she says that Eva puts her heart and soul into this spa and that sets a great example for everyone here at ESSpa.

To wrap up Amy’s mini bio, she would like to say a few things. “I am so honored to work in such a beautiful and amazing spa with such great people. What a great team! I am so lucky to have great guests; it is a pleasure taking care of you! Thank you to everyone for making this such an incredibly fun career…It’s truly a blessing!
