Team Member Bio: Paula, Manicurist

Paula, originally from the South Hills has been so ecstatic since the day she started at ESSpa not too long ago. But don’t let her new presence fool you. She has been in the beauty industry for 24 years! Paula first learned that she wanted to be in this field when she was a little girl. She attended Pittsburgh’s Beauty Academy and received her PA State Board License in Cosmetology. Not only has Paula worked and received her education in Pittsburgh, but she has also traveled to receive even more training from some prestigious training schools and seminars from Christine Valmy in New York City and Joe Blasco in Los Angeles.

Out of her whole background in Cosmetology, Paula prefers to focus on pedicures. “You can truly make someone feel so much better inside and out,” Paula said. Her favorite spa treatment to get at ESSpa is the European facial because to her, they are the most relaxing.

Not only does Paula represent the spa lifestyle at ESSpa, she upholds that lifestyle at home. Her favorite health food is Edamame (a.k.a. soy beans). Her favorite down time activities include: Gardening, reading a good book, and spending some time riding her horse. She appreciates and supports healthy living and a stress free life by participating in the hobbies that she has.

In the spa industry, one always has to improve ones self. Paula says, “The spa industry is ever growing and I would like to continue to learn more about skincare for the future.” Paula enjoys being a part of the ESSpa Team and she is so thankful to walk through our doors everyday. She believes that ESSpa’s level of excellence in treatments and customer service makes us stand out among all other spas around the country.
