Mom Eva spent the night here at the hospital last night allowing Scott to sleep at home for the first time in a week.

Overall, last night was a welcome change from the night before as there were no significant occurrances and everyone slept soundly. Kristian remains stable - as does the infection deep in his little lungs (tough little bugs down there).

They are slowly weaning him ever lower on his ventilator settings (a good thing). The only major issue was that they had to stop feeding him last night because they have to reposition his NG/OG tube as it was removing too much of his food as soon as it was delivered via his ND tube (the poor little guy has way too many tubes in him - he is like a poorly designed whirlpool bath).

The doctors are making their rounds now so I hope to have another update for you all around lunch time. For the immediate future, no news might be good news.

Thanks for all of your prayers, thoughts and well-wishes - they are making a difference, so keep them coming.

Best,
Scott

Dear Scott, Eva, and Kristian,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you find your way to good health and well-being. It is very painful, I know, to go through this challenge with your little boy. However, you are surrounded by hundreds of people who care and want to support you in positive and meaningful ways.

If I can help in some way, please do let me know. I am an educational professional who deals with research in cognitive progress and development.

Hoping to hear great news!!

Dear Scott and Eva,
I am praying every day for Kristian. I wish that I was in Pittsburgh now to help you in any way. God knows where the prayers come from and I am sure that it won't be long until Kristian is home with you. Take care and God Bless.
Love,
Judy
